Kids Check-in Process

Giving our children "Roots" that go deep!

Roots (Kids) Ministry at Cornerstone Church

At Cornerstone our kids (infant through 5th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and relevant way.

We would love to see you and your family visit Cornerstone Roots.

Your first visit

Here's what to expect when visiting Roots for the first time:

First, find the area marked for first-time families. There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.

Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):

  • Parent/guardian name(s)
  • Kid/s names
  • kid/s birth dates
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

How check-in works

Before Service:

You can check-in your child by visiting our check-in counter. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.

After Service:

After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room, show your tag, and your child to be released back to you.

During Service:

Each family will be given a silent pager in the event we need to contact you during the service. If paged, we ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

Meet our Kids Director

Traci has been at Cornerstone since 2013 and feels she has finally discovered what she wanted to be when she grew up! Working with these kids and teaching them how much God loves them gives her the best feeling. The Roots Children’s Ministry is an exciting place to be on Sunday mornings and is always looking for new friends!

Traci also teaches preschool at a private school in Cumming. She has three amazing boys, Morgan, Matthew and Austin who keep her busy the rest of the time. They enjoy doing as much as they can together, going to the movies, discovering new places and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. When she gets a chance, she reads anything she can get her hands on and loves spending time with her family and friends.
